Liquid Rhinoplasty

Liquid rhinoplasty is a non-surgical procedure that uses injectable products to alter the appearance of the nose. It may be used to improve symmetry, camouflage certain irregularities, or enhance the profile in selected patients. An assessment is required to determine suitability.

Suitability depends on your anatomy, goals, medical history, and previous treatments. Not all noses can be effectively treated with a non-surgical approach. During your consultation, Dr Young will discuss whether liquid rhinoplasty is appropriate for your circumstances.

You will see Dr Young at your consultation, it is law, but even more importantly, you both want to make sure there is a complete understanding of what is possible and the possible risks.

No. Liquid rhinoplasty does not reduce the size of the nose. It works by adding volume to selected areas to create the appearance of improved balance or contour. Patients seeking a smaller nose may require surgical assessment.
Of note, optically, Dr Young may be able to refine aspects of your nose, to make it more balanced with your face; this may entail also adjusting your cheeks and chin.

Most patients experience only mild discomfort. Techniques may be used to improve comfort during treatment, such as Anesthetic cream, or vibration tools.

All cosmetic procedures carry risks. Potential risks may include:

• Swelling
• Bruising
• Tenderness
• Asymmetry
• Infection
• Lump formation
• Dissatisfaction with the cosmetic outcome
• Vascular compromise, which in rare cases can result in skin injury or vision-related complications

These risks will be discussed during your consultation before any treatment is considered.

In some cases, non-surgical treatment may help camouflage minor contour irregularities following previous surgery. However, not all post-surgical concerns can be addressed with injectable treatments. Dr Young has significant experience with both surgical and non surgical procedure hence is able to understand what the possible.

Naturalness and the most harmonizing result is important, but there is sometimes the need to reverse part or all of the treatment.
With the products Dr Young uses, this will be possible.

Dr Young has a set of post procedure medications to make sure you recover well and safely.
These will reduce swelling and the risk of infection. In the initial phase, after 10 days, he then places his patients on a guided protocol for the next 6 months.
